Skills: 2nd Line Service Desk Engineer. My client based in Leatherhead, Surrey are looking for a 2nd Line Service Desk Engineer.You must have technical skills in Active Directory, Windows XP/7, Windows Server NT to 2008, Exchange, with an excellent phone manner & a full driving licence with your own car as the role requires site travel – 30% to 50% of the role is field based. Role involves: Site visits, desktop/laptop builds, hardware/software installation, multi-site support, printer administration, network, server & desktop trouble shooting, application support, overflow calls from 1st line. This is an excellent role offering training and real progression through the company. Working hours are 08.00 to 17.30 Monday to Friday. You must have strong technical skills in VMWare, other technical skills includes: Windows 2003/2008, Exchange 2003/2007, Active Directory, Firewalls, Configuration of SAN & Fibre Switches, NetApp, Backup Management & Disaster Recovery, with an outgoing / proactive personality & good communication skills. This is a varied role and you will be responsible for administering all aspects of the networked operation including the entire server based systems & VMWare/Virtualisation.
