Skills: Infrastructure Architect, MCITP or MCSE – London. Based in Londonmy client an exciting/leading media company are recruiting for a Infrastructure Architect/Technical Architect. You must be Windows 2008 MCITP Enterprise Administrator or recent MCSE qualified (this is an absolute must –please do not send your CV if you haven’t got this) Technical skills & experience should include Cisco/Networking, VMWare, SAN at Enterprise Level, Windows 2008 Server, Active Directory, AV, Data Centre/Computer Room/ Rack Design, DNS, DHCP & WINS. Desirable skills include: ITIL, Exchange 2010, SQL Server, MPLS, F5 Load Balancers, Blackberry Enterprise Server, VOIP, SCCM/SCOM & Wireless. Reporting to the Networks & Infrastructure Systems Manager, the role of the Technical Architect is to be responsible for the design of IT infrastructure, to support the operational & project requirements of the company. You must ensure that the infrastructure is supportable, scaleable, resilient & fit for purpose. The IT infrastructure includes all the servers, networks, desktops & hosting environments. This is a hands on role & some 3rd line operational support & project development is expected. The TA will be expected to mentor the Network & Infrastructure Team in all matters technical. Mainly based in London but expect frequent travel to other sites in West Sussex, Kent & Berkshire. Weekend & evening work will be required from time to time to meet key project deadlines.
