Skills: Desktop Team Leader, Active Directory, Exchange. Based in London (nearest tube – Great Portland Street) my client has a new requirement for an Desktop Team Leader to support internal and remote users through 2nd line support in order to solve business related network, computer and telephony problems. It is essential that you have a proven track record of effective team leadership, desktop and helpdesk support, and a good knowledge of Windows XP, Office 2003 and 2010, MS Outlook/Exchange, Active Directory and computer builds, as well as possessing a good hardware knowledge of PCs, laptops, Blackberries and printers. You will provide strong leadership to the Desktop team (of 7) based at a number of London locations, carrying out wide range of support, incident and problem solving tasks. Responsibilities include: Providing support over the telephone and at the desk side, Ongoing improvement of procedures, Establishing procedures for management of assets including purchases, moves and disposals, Analysis of support calls and allocation of suitable Desktop resource if necessary, Day-to-day management of the London Desktop team, ensuring availability of resource in line with business needs, Championing a customer oriented ethos across the Desktop team, making sure calls and tasks are progressed in an efficient manner, keeping users up to date at all times. Excellent customer service qualities and experience of dealing with both internal and external clients to understand, empathise and solve specific problems they may have is essential.
