WiFi Engineer –

Key Responsibilities:
• Work with other engineers within the WIFI networks team
• Support projects for WiFi & Small Cells, including:
o Explanation and documentation of the proposed solutions (including WLAN, backhaul, central network & core connectivity, central systems and MIS facilities),
o Creation of high level and low level design documentation
o Carryout and support the build phase of the projects
o Handover services to the NOC and ensure they understand and are able to support the solutions
• Develop solutions to customer requirements and advanced technical problems.
• Support of Sales and Technical Services to fulfil the requirements of the role, including but not limited to:
o Attend to projects and see them through to completion
o Prepare and conduct customer and partner workshops
o Compile customer documentation
o Present technical solutions to support and development teams
• Implement technical services tasks to support WIFI services functions, including but not limited to:
o Work with other teams in order to implement WIFI Services
o Help customers with remediation tasks
o Investigate, validate and mitigate technical issues
Experience Required:
• Experienced Network and Wifi Engineer
• Proven track record of documenting and deploying bespoke/complex WIFI solutions
• Good domain knowledge and experience in:
o WiFi solutions- Ideally experience with several WIFI vendors Cisco, Meraki, Aruba, HP
o Experience with mobile networks (small cells)- 3G,4G,LTE, core networks, Hot Spot 2.0, mobile/data offload,
o F5 Load balancers
o Exposure to Mikrotik ACS & firewall
o VM Ware
o Unix / Linux
o Radius protocol
o Server administration
o Transmission and core connectivity
o Core IP networks
o ISP networks & systems
o Service management systems
o Management information systems
• Educated to degree level or above, preferably in a scientific subject.
• Good written, verbal and presentational communication skills
• Confident in working with senior managers, clients and suppliers.
• Able to work in a fast paced high pressure environment.
