Role involves:

  • Deliver the OMS solution to time, specification & budget, ensuring risk is managed with suitable mitigation actions being managed throughout all project phases.

  • Lead and drive the delivery activities through the matrix project team and external suppliers.
  • Provide effective management of the external suppliers, and develop strong relationships with internal Workstream teams.

New Requirement! – Transition Analyst – Systems Testing – Hampshire, Contract

Transition Analyst – Systems Testing. Role is to support systems and process testing activities across all projects, ensuring that they are planned, executed and documented sufficiently to demonstrate delivery of customer and service management requirements and meet contractual milestones. To ensure that the M2M service management teams are ready to operate and support ITIL-aligned processes that deliver quality services to customers and align with existing operations. Duties include:

  • Coordinate user acceptance test plans and activities within the key milestones of the overall project plans
  • Provide single point of contact for the BSS and OSS work stream leads for UAT related activities
  • Co-ordinate the production and execution of test scripts, including entering scripts and results in JAMA and booking test resources
  • Produce formal work packages to request work from key test contributors
  • Support the test planning by liaising with systems and process delivery teams and the users and ‘actors’ required to execute the tests (executors), within Arqiva, customer and supplier organisations
  • Ensure test scripts are complete, in the correct location and accessible to all executors
  • Assist with the provision of data (e.g. scripts, assignment groups, categorisation, workflows) for testing
  • Ensure all executors are briefed on their role and have confirmed their availability for each test
  • Ensure that all relevant environments are booked for testing and that executors have appropriate permissions to perform the tests
  • Ensure that any changes to availability of systems or executors are fed back into the plan and appropriate adjustments and communications made
  • Support test execution by ensuring that all executors are in place on time and able to access the tools required
  • Participate in and lead test gateway reviews
  • Deputise for other transition analysts as necessary
  • Assist with the collection and collation of test results and the entry into the Jama requirements tracking system and JIRA defects tracking system
  • Provide reports on test progress, status and outstanding issues and remediation activities
  • Support the remediation stages by coordinating use case and test script updates following process amendments
  • Assure the quality of work provided by 3rd party relating to processes and systems testing
  • Facilitate and participate in process and systems workshops relating to testing

PMO / Programme Analyst. Role is to Analyse programme and project progress and trends and prepare an effective executive suite of progress reports on a regular basis to ensure management are equipped with relevant information for decision making to ensure delivery of the Smart Metering Programme to time and on budget. You must be:

 

  • Highly experienced and specialist in producing programme performance management reports, projects and programme status reporting.
  • Proficient user of MS Excel including lookups and pivots, MS Word, MS Outlook, MS Power point, Oracle OBIEE and project management reporting tools.
  • Good working knowledge of P6 Primavera and Microsoft Project (MSP)
  • Experience of schedule impact assessment and analysis; cost and time impact analysis (TIA), schedule delay analysis and plans to recover delays, what if scenario, risks mitigations, include analysis of integrated master schedule (IMS), suppliers and contractor/sub-contractors schedules.
  • Good communicator and technically skilled to be able to understand and work with a technical and skill-diverse team.

New Requirement! – OSS Implementation Engineer – Hampshire, Contract

OSS Implementation Engineer – This is an engineering role within the Operational Support Systems Engineering team. This role will be part of the team working on delivering Smart Metering and Smart Water Networks programme. The key focus of this particular role is to develop low level designs, implement and commission the IT OSS environments in line with the defined architectural standards meeting the requirements of Network Management Centre and of the  IT Operating Model. Previous experience of Network Management systems in a Broadcast or Telecoms environment. Experience of products such as OpenNMS, HP Openview, SolarWinds applications. Management or awareness of VMWare virtualization software and VBlock hardware is also desirable. At least 3 years experience in design or implementation of OSS solutions or service management as an IT Engineer/Specialist

 

You must have:

  • Appropriate technical qualification – Degree or HND/C in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or Computer Science or relevant experience.
  • Experienced in the design, delivery and management of OSS.
  • Experienced in OSS and BSS architecture
  • Experience in producing IT OSS High Level Design and Low Level design (HLD, LLD)
  • Experience of supplier and customer management with good customer-facing skills

 

Role involves:

  • Working as part of the IT OSS workstream in the IT Integration project , work with key stakeholders to understand their requirements and ensure that the OSS solution is designed and implemented to meet or exceed these.
  • Ensure delivery of design packages for OSS to time / cost / quality criteria
  • Provide specifications, scope of works and method statements to ensure design packages and project work are delivered in accordance with quality and security policy requirements
  • Produce a Low Level Design based on High Level Design requirements
