Skills: Network Support / Network Specialist, data and voice networks  – To provide support of the Network infrastructure. This includes providing 2nd line support of the data and voice networks. The candidate with deal with complex Incidents, Problems and Changes whilst adhering to ITIL principles. You must have:

  • Ideally CCNP level experience
  • Ability to deal with high impact, high profile incidents, problems and changes
  • Good knowledge of Cisco products including wireless and Unified Communications products
  • Knowledge of Network management tools
  • Ideally knowledge of Cisco Nexus Switches
  • Ideally experience of troubleshooting VOIP networks
  • Ideally knowledge of F5 Application Delivery Controllers

Role Involves:

  • Maintain network availability of the Network by performing routine maintenance, implementing best practices etc
  • Ensure monthly SLA metrics for all customers are achieved.
  • Work as part of the on-call rota
  • Regularly updating customers on progress of incidents, problems and changes
  • Regularly updating ticketing system
  • Completing  Change Requests, including impact and risk analysis
  • Ensure all Network documentation is kept up to date
  • Capturing repeat faults and undertaking root cause analysis
  • Proactive identification of fault trends
