Service Transition Analyst – ITIL – ITIL v3 Service Transition Lifecycle & ITIL v3 Release Validation and Test Capability. You should have solid experience in Service Transition in a complex environment with an ability to manage multiple streams of work at any one time. To manage the transition activities involved in the successful delivery of the Smart Metering service, ensuring requirements are delivered and reflected in the design while managing acceptance of services and changes throughout their lifecycle Coordinate user acceptance test plans and activities within the key milestones of the overall project plans.

You must have:

  • Experience applying ITIL v3 (2011) knowledge to the design and implementation of a Service Management function whilst complementing existing business operations
  • A consultative approach to collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to analysis, design, build, test and deploy processes
  • Experience liaising between project and operational teams to deliver customer requirements
  • Experience championing Service Management excellence and providing coaching and mentoring to influence stakeholders
  • An organised approach to planning, documenting and reporting on delivery against requirements
  • Experience working with internal and external stakeholders at differing levels of seniority and process maturity
  • A customer-focused attitude that encourages added value beyond the contracted service deliverables
  • Communication and presentation skills that ensure all stakeholders are appropriately informed and consulted
  • Relationship building skills that develop collaborative working practices and a common understanding of outcomes
  • Influencing skills that ensure collaboration and accommodation of changes as services are introduced into operation
  • Judgement skills that allow good decision-making and appropriate escalation
  • Experience writing end-to-end process test scripts, running tests and reporting accurate results

 

Role involves:

  • Adhere to the Transition, Planning and Support process and provide feedback to its success and improvement suggestions
  • Provide input and updates to the overall transition plan, reporting on progress towards agreed milestones
  • Support the transition of the Smart M2M Service Management services and operation by testing and handing over best practice, ITIL-aligned processes, procedures and work instructions
  • Development, maintenance and  on-going management of Service Acceptance Criteria, ensuring there is accountability for acceptance and responsibility for delivery
  • Coordinating and liaising with multiple internal and external stakeholders to define and deliver service readiness criteria and deliverables
  • Define what Early Life Support looks like and how it supports the new or changed services and customer requirements
  • Manage services and products through the Early Life Support phase
  • Manage stakeholders and deliverables through the gate process, ensuring risks are highlighted and appropriate owners identified
  • Manage Service Transition risks via the programme RAID, ensuring there is an owner for mitigation
  • Production of use cases and test scripts to support the exercise of Business Acceptance and User Acceptance testing
