Field Engineer, Infrastructure Engineer, 1st & 2nd Line Support Engineer, Active Directory, Exchange, Windows Server, VMWare. My client based in Basingstoke are looking for a Field Service Engineer / 1st & 2nd Line Support Engineer with technical skills:


  • Experience with Active Directory – New user creation / account administration including Group Policy
  • 1st and 2nd line Service Desk Support experience
  • Ability to create and manage mailboxes (MS Exchange)
  • Understanding of LAN, WAN, WLAN networks
  • Understanding of DHCP, IP Addressing – a good understanding and experience with troubleshooting
  • Fully conversant with Microsoft Windows Server 2008 / 2012 and Windows 7 / 8
  • Experience of working with hypervisors (virtual machines / Virtual Desktop Infrastructure) VMWare
  • Microsoft MCSE, MCP or MCSA * Windows specific role
  • Experience in basic fault finding pc systems i.e. identification of faulty component (memory, HDD, motherboard etc.)
  • Experience in replacing basic component part in PC’s (i.e. HDD, Memory)
  • Ideally Security and DBS clearance or willing to undergo clearance.
  • Experience with call-logging / ticketing software would be advantageous


You will be field based 50%-75% of the time proving IT Support for my client in and around Basingstoke and the rest of England – full driving license needed (car will be provided).
