Skills: C# .Net Developer, C# Developer, SQL Server including stored procedures and multi-threaded experience. My award winning client based in Hemel Hempstead are looking for an C# ASP.Net Developer, C# Developer. I am looking for someone with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role looking for the opportunity to build on their previous experience in designing and developing in C# for complex high performance server side platforms through working in a fast paced company, with enthusiasm for software development, creative problem solving and software technologies. You must have experience:

 

  • Must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience of designing and developing complex multi-threaded, high performance services and/or service-side applications at both a high and low level on the Microsoft stack and C#/.Net.
  • Should have experience diagnosing and optimising both memory usage and performance across C#/.Net.
  • SQL Server experience including stored procedures.
  • Experience of low latency communications protocols and specifically low latency message queues (e.g. ZeroMQ/Tibco EMS)
  • Must be familiar with GIT source control
  • Must be familiar with unit testing, specifically NUnit
  • Strong knowledge of C++ would be beneficial if not essential.
  • Analysis and high/low level design capabilities using Objects Orientated techniques.
  • Enthusiasm for tackling difficult problems and proven analytical abilities.
  • Strong awareness of timelines and task priority.
  • Communication skills are required, with the ability to understand and communicate issues succinctly and without ambiguity using appropriate technical vocabulary.

New Requirement! – 2nd / 3rd Line Infrastructure Support Engineer – London, Perm

2nd / 3rd Line Infrastructure Support Engineer – VMWare vSphere, Windows Server, Active Directory, MS Exchange, MS SQL Server. My award winning client based in London (nearest tube Liverpool Street) are looking for an Infrastructure Engineer / 2nd / 3rd Line Support person. You will be responsible for delivering a combination of BAU and project based tasks, with a focus on proactively monitoring, maintaining and enhancing the existing infrastructure. The role reports directly to the Head of Infrastructure.
Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years working in a similar role
  • Strong knowledge and experience of the entire Microsoft Product range (especially Windows Server, Active Directory, MS Exchange, MS SQL Server) and the associated licensing models
  • Strong knowledge of virtualisation technologies such as VMware vSphere and exposure to Storage Area Networks (SAN) – like  3PAR or Dell Equalogic.
  • Demonstrable experience of managing HP and Dell server and storage hardware
  • Good knowledge of Backup processes and BCP procedures.
  • Knowledge and experience of Voice & Data network administration, including telephony

Responsibilities:

  • To ensure the IT infrastructure is fully managed and maintained, to minimise security risk and maximise service availability.
  • Proactively monitor capacity and demand for IT infrastructure across servers & storage LAN and WAN; define and maintain processes to ensure efficient operation.
  • Provide 2nd and 3rd line support for all business infrastructure and services (including coordination of 3rd party suppliers as required).
  • Manage upgrades as required and ensure compliance with security policies and standards.
  • Ensure the integrity and security of the business infrastructure in line with business standards and policies.
  • Accurately document at all times any infrastructure changes and follow strict IT change and release procedures.
  • Manage and maintain the IT Disaster Recovery plan and the DR infrastructure , ensuring regular checks and tests are completed
  • Implement the server and network elements of the technical roadmap as defined by the head of the department or within the Infrastructure Team.

JavaScript Web Developer. My client based in Hemel Hempstead are looking for a JavaScript Web Developer. You will assist in the creation and onward development of a new web-based UI using AngularJS and modern JavaScript and browser technologies.

I am looking for someone with 3+ years’ experience of modern JavaScript development techniques, AngularJS and web technologies and a keen interest in expanding and developing your knowledge through working in a fast paced company.
Skills and experience:

Essential

  • Strong understanding of the JavaScript language, its quirks and workarounds
  • Strong understanding of HTML web markup and CSS
  • Experience in developing complex single page web applications using AngularJS
  • Strong understanding of modern JavaScript development techniques such as modules, transpiling and bundling
  • Familiarity with front-end build tools such as Gulp (preferred) or Grunt

  • Visit the London office when required to support specific project implementations or to assist in requirements gathering and business analysis activities
  • Work closely with the Testing team to resolve issues that arise during the testing of developed software
