New Requirement! – Head of IT Transition, Change / Delivery Manager – Bristol, FTC

Skills: Head of IT Transition, Change / Delivery Manager. My client based in Bristol, Avon are looking for an Head of IT Transition / Change / Delivery Manager for an 12-18 months Fixed Term contract (You will be on my clients payroll paying around £80k pro-rata –please do not send in your CV if you are looking for a daily or hourly rate- this role would suit someone who is available now or at short notice). I am looking for someone to understand, plan and implement the transition of 3 companies and a newly formed company from an IT and digital perspective over the next two years and beyond. This will include overseeing a discovery phase, and then planning and implementing changes to ensure a smooth transition to the new company. Ideally you will have previous experience of this in a similar role. You must be a credible leader experienced in delivering change, highly articulate, knowledgeable and effective at the most senior levels. My client has a current technical architecture and delivery model which will require significant transition/change in order to deliver objectives. Skills: Test Analyst – Manual, ISTQB/ISEB. My client based in Woking, Surrey are looking for a Manual Test Analyst. Working hours are 08.00 to 17.30 Monday to Friday and due to the location of the client, candidates must drive – full driving licence and car required. As the Manual Test Analyst will be working both autonomously and within a strong team environment, liaising with offshore development teams and project teams based within the organisation. Must have:

 

  • Designing and executing functional, regression test cases and Exploratory testing.
  • Ability to produce clear and concise test documentation (e.g. test plan; test script; test report; defect log).
  • ISTQB/ISEB qualified or equivalent industry level experience.
  • Solid experience of working in an Agile & Scrum environment following TDD/BDD principles.
  • Experience with Jira, Confluence & other tools.
  • Good communication skills.

 

Desirable Skills

 

  • Exposure to Automation testing techniques.
  • Working knowledge of Continuous Integration.

Skills: 2nd Line Desktop Support Engineer, IT Support Analyst – Remote Support, Active Directory, Exchange, Windows XP/7, Office 2007/2013, general network support skills, with an excellent phone manner/communication skills. You must be comfortable dealing with demanding users, with excellent customer relationship skills. You must have experience in desktop support and remote support, working with helpdesk systems, Active Directory, Exchange, Remote Support, VPN’s, Windows XP/7, general network support and troubleshooting, LAN Management, familiar with Windows Server 2003/2008 and support telephone systems.

 

Role involves:

  • Providing professional, efficient and reliable support for IT issues in local offices and across the UK to include hardware support, issue diagnosis and resolution.
  • Using work management system to manage workload, recording progress and keeping customers updated on a regular basis.
  • Following the standard processes as determined by the IT management team, including Incident, Request fulfilment, Change and others as defined.
  • Remote support, via Skype, RDP, Dameware and other techniques.
  • Implementing changes to user accounts using AD in accordance with process.
  • Installing software to meet requests via SCCM or manually, onsite and remotely.
  • Monitor network and performance, reporting issues in a timely and efficient manner into the work management system.
  • Deployment and ongoing support of mobile phones and tablet devices.
  • Contributing to the knowledge kept by the IT team, processes and known errors.
  • Deployment and configuration of business software following processes to ensure license compliance, including network licensing solutions and Enterprise wide license packages.
  • Supporting Microsoft Skype, including full PC to PC and Enterprise voice setup.
  • Advising customer base on IT best practice based on current policies defined by the UK IT management and Corporate IT teams.
  • Engagement with key stakeholders to understand and support business requirements, escalating to IT Service Manager as appropriate.
  • LAN management and support with issue escalation.
  • Management of IT equipment and software to a professional standard in line with UK IT policies.
  • IT administration and house-keeping tasks as required.
  • Involvement in IT Projects as they arise.
