New Requirement! – Information Security Manager – GDPR, ISO27001, Data Protection, Compliance/Audit – Perm, West Midlands

Skills: Information Security Manager – GDPR, ISO27001, Data Protection, Compliance/Audit. Please note, this is not a technical role but the role will involve liaising with technical staff in IT and technical suppliers. You may be in an information security role currently or may have a background in Project Management, System Implementation, Business Analysis, or compliance/Audit.  Any knowledge or qualifications in, GDPR, Data Protection, ISO 27001, etc, or other standards would be an advantage.

 

This is a unique opportunity to be part of a team at the very conception of that function.  Although Information Security activities have been carried out, they have been done by other members of the team on a part-time basis. This role is required to pull all of those activities together and take ownership of the area of information security. New Requirement! – Content Designer – Kent, FTC until March 2019

Skills: Content Designer. Based in Chatham, Kent my client has a new requirement for an Content Designer for an Fixed Term contract until March 2019 (You will be on my clients payroll paying £30k-£35k pro-rata –please do not send in your CV if you are looking for a daily or hourly rate, this role would suit someone who is available now or at short notice).

 

You must have experience in:

  • Extensive experience of writing for the web, with proven ability of creating content that is accessible and usable.
  • Experience in producing content for a responsively-designed website.
  • Producing content which adheres to WCAG AA web accessibility standards.
  • Excellent skills in convincing people that user needs and a usable approach is the only way to present information.
  • Experience of working in an Agile environment, including sprints, stand ups and show and tells.
  • Proven experience in using metrics and user feedback to define/refine content.
  • Experience in choosing the best format for displaying information to the user.
  • Experience in working with content publishing systems.
  • Knowledge of identifying key audiences, to inform content requirements and user testing.
  • Knowledge in gathering and analysing customer insight to inform content and user journey changes.
  • Knowledge of conducting user testing to get feedback on content and customer journeys through the content.
  • Knowledge of designing user journeys and writing web content so it is easy to understand and usable.
  • Knowledge of Google Analytics to understand and measure online customer behaviour.

 

Role involves:

  • Gather and use customer insight to understand how customers use online services, both on our website and through other customer access channels.
  • Understand the current content and, combined with user feedback, identify content blockers and gaps.
  • Create content which supports improved customer journeys to support customers to transact with the council online.
  • Scope, commission, write, edit and publish digital content, with an excellent understanding of our user-focussed, mobile-first approach.
  • Build relationships with subject matter experts to make sure content is accurate.
  • Contribute to workshops with colleagues to create improved content that meets our user-focussed approach, mapping content to different formats and audiences.
  • Contribute to creating performance measures, against which to measure the success of new content once live including through Google Analytics.
  • Responsible for ensuring content meets web accessibility guidelines, to at least AA standard.
  • Iterate content based on user feedback.

New Requirement! – Solutions Specialist / Technical Pre-Sales – Hampshire, Perm

Solutions Specialist / Technical Pre-Sales – Server or Storage or Network Technologies. My client based in Basingstoke, Hampshire are looking for an Solutions Specialist / Technical Pre-Sales. You must have:

 

  • Experience of technical pre-sales, including contributing written technical solutions to Tenders and Proposals
  • In depth technical knowledge (including recognised industry or supplier certification) in at least one of the following:

Public Cloud Solutions:  Microsoft or AWS solution design, implementation, and migration

Server Technologies:  Infrastructure. Preferably Dell or Fujitsu.

Server Technologies:  Virtualisation, particularly VMware or Hyper-V.

Server Technologies:  Operating Systems and Applications, particularly Microsoft Windows Server 2012 / 2016.

Storage Technologies, particularly Dell EMC.

Network Technologies:  LAN/WLAN/WAN. Preferably Cisco, Juniper, or Dell.

 

You will be responsible for the complex solution and service definition and implementation, covering the design, deployment, and support of IT and Communications solutions to meet the requirements of both external and internal customers.  This covers:

  • Leading bid / sales activities on behalf of the Services unit, for customer solutions, shared infrastructure and internal IT infrastructure and services.
  • Driving and actively participating in Implementation of technical solutions for customers and internal projects
  • Provision of 3rd line support to assist Service Desk and Operational teams in the event of complex issues/incidents

 

Key activities:

  • Provide pre-sales support to define integrated technical solutions in line with customer requirements. Produce, or assist in the production, of high-level designs and the technical input to proposals.
  • Assess the customer’s stated requirements, identify or assist in defining strategies for addressing those requirements as well as opportunities for “value add”, and translate these into robust and achievable solution design that meets the customer’s needs
  • Produce technology-specific, solution-based conceptual, high-level, and detailed designs
  • Where required, take on a solution lead role for specific bids or projects, taking ownership and ensuring that individual technical design elements and solutions integrate seamlessly to deliver an end-to-end response to customer requirements. This may require co-ordination of design input from internal teams, partners and 3rd parties in additional to directly producing designs/solution content.
  • Ensure solution designs include definition of cost of delivery of the services or technical elements identified, so as to enable accurate pricing of the proposal to the customer
  • Plan and implement the complex aspects of building, deploying and testing components, platforms and solutions
  • Produce and maintain standard templates for design, build, and testing services
  • Lead or assist in the production of solution papers, business cases and risk assessments for shared infrastructure and internal IT projects.
  • Lead or assist – Investigate, evaluate, review and document new technologies and services, including attending appropriate seminars and conferences.
  • Work with internal teams, partners and 3rd parties to develop and manage new services and technologies.
