  • Co-ordinate regular software release updates.

My client are looking for an 1st & 2nd desktop support technician who has around 2 years experience in a similar role and is looking to take the next step into an 3rd line role. You must technical experience of:

  • Experience of working in a Service Desk Environment.
  • 2 year plus in am 1st and 2nd Line Support role.

  • MS Office 2007 and above.

Role is working on a shift pattern Monday to Friday covering the hours- 08.00 to 17.00, 09.00 to 18.00, 10.00 to 19.00 and 14.00 to 22.00.

Any Windows Server 2008-2012, MS Exchange, Mitel telephone systems or Linux Server administration would be a bonus. New Requirement! – SQL DBA with Infrastructure Support skills – London, Perm

Skills: SQL DBA with Infrastructure Support skills. Based in London (nearest tube – St Paul’s or Blackfriars) my client are recruiting for SQL DBA (with core skills in SQL – tuning, patching, configs, restore, backups) and with some infrastructure skills in Windows Server, Application trouble shooting, SAN Storage, VMware, Oracle databases, Projects and Change Management. The role is roughly split between 60-70% of your time on SQL Server and the rest, infrastructure support when required. My client has a small team so you be expect to have a lot of interaction between network, storage, VMware and databases.

 

 

You must have:

  • Experience in SQL Server 2008-2012 (moving towards SQL 2016/2017) administration of production systems including: development / change processes, version control, housekeeping, capacity planning and tuning, and data maintenance.
  • Infrastructure skills in Windows Server, Application trouble shooting, SAN Storage, VMware and Oracle databases.
  • Experience of relational database design or management.
  • Experience of structured problem solving and debugging techniques.
  • Strong technical aptitude and good inter-personal skills.

 

Role involves:
