  • Supplier Management. Has a proven ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, customers and relevant regulatory bodies, to obtain the correct solution, with an appreciation of industry trends, developments and implementation of technologies.

 

Main Responsibilities:

  • Work with key stakeholders to understand their requirements and ensure that IP infrastructure is designed, planned and capacity managed to meet or exceed these specifically:
  • Ensure that the solutions designed and implemented are continually assessed to determine any improvements that can be made with respect to quality and costs for effective life time asset management
  • Work as a member of the Networks Group to design, build and maintain network infrastructure to support existing and new customers.
  • Support applications to transfer video, audio and data across existing and new networks
  • Cost these bids and provide documentation for these customer proposals
  • Assist in the maintenance and support on the existing and new data networks
  • Provide Architectural support and guidance on existing and future designs on the network
  • Assist and manage in the implementation of new networks.
  • Support the development of accurate telecoms In building/PMR network forecasting and capacity management
  • Support the development and adherence of effective design and planning processes which meet all the requirements of relevant external standards
  • Ensure that all IP network technical infrastructure is maintained within the appropriate architectural or contractual operating conditions including: capacity management, throughput, technical performance, information security, quality and unit cost
  • Design and deliver technical solutions that minimise disruption to existing services or other in flight programmes

New Requirement! – Transition Analyst – ITIL – Hampshire, Contract

Transition Analyst – ITIL – ITIL v3 Service Transition Lifecycle & ITIL v3 Release Validation and Test Capability. You should have solid experience in Service Transition in a complex environment with an ability to manage multiple streams of work at any one time. Role is to support systems and process testing activities across all projects, ensuring that they are planned, executed and documented sufficiently to demonstrate delivery of customer and service management requirements and meet contractual milestones. To ensure that the M2M service management teams are ready to operate and support ITIL-aligned processes that deliver quality services to customers and align with existing operations. Duties include:

  • Coordinate user acceptance test plans and activities within the key milestones of the overall project plans
  • Provide single point of contact for the BSS and OSS work stream leads for UAT related activities
  • Co-ordinate the production and execution of test scripts, including entering scripts and results in JAMA and booking test resources
  • Produce formal work packages to request work from key test contributors
  • Support the test planning by liaising with systems and process delivery teams and the users and ‘actors’ required to execute the tests (executors), within customer and supplier organisations
  • Ensure test scripts are complete, in the correct location and accessible to all executors
  • Assist with the provision of data (e.g. scripts, assignment groups, categorisation, workflows) for testing
  • Ensure all executors are briefed on their role and have confirmed their availability for each test
  • Ensure that all relevant environments are booked for testing and that executors have appropriate permissions to perform the tests
  • Ensure that any changes to availability of systems or executors are fed back into the plan and appropriate adjustments and communications made
  • Support test execution by ensuring that all executors are in place on time and able to access the tools required
  • Participate in and lead test gateway reviews
  • Deputise for other transition analysts as necessary
  • Assist with the collection and collation of test results and the entry into the Jama requirements tracking system and JIRA defects tracking system
  • Provide reports on test progress, status and outstanding issues and remediation activities
  • Support the remediation stages by coordinating use case and test script updates following process amendments
  • Assure the quality of work provided by 3rd party relating to processes and systems testing
  • Facilitate and participate in process and systems workshops relating to testing

You must have:

Role involves:

 

  • Owner of the high level design standards (target architecture) across the whole of the portfolio (operational and corporate), developed and updated as required Networks investment budget specification supporting the Technical Strategy manager to ensure future enhancements and Network refresh programmes are appropriately accounted for.
  • Capacity management – Forecasting future requirements and developing business cases to support strategic  and BAU capacity increases. To monitor the capacity reports and trend analysis for existing capacity that are produced with the IT&C team utilising this information to support capacity increase business cases and forward planning of investment capital.
  • To develop and communicate the Networks roadmap that links into our company wide product roadmaps Collaborate with the Connectivity, BU, Strategy and Finance teams ensuring that they fully understand and are aligned to this roadmap.
  • To lead the strategic input on Network thinking for new BU and corporate business development initiatives, ensuring engagement of the Connectivity team at the appropriate
